Delight is the compass that shows us the true North.

For me, Finland is a feeling: a sense of freedom, the wonder of childhood and a quiet lightness.

No other country has drawn me back as often and by now it feels like a second home. I never run out of excitement for the golden glow of the endless summer days, the lush green of the forests or the icy stillness of winter with the snow-covered archipelago.

The direction that always feels right.

In 2017 I won the “More Romance” photo competition by Mint & Berry. My photograph was selected by a jury from over 1000 international entries and was awarded with a trip to Lapland – this was one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me.

The influence of Finland’s landscapes in Nordic design is undeniable: natural materials such as wood, stone and wool are combined with clean lines and organic shapes, often drawing inspiration from forests, lakes and the northern lights.
